James Norman, Principal
Over Jim’s notable 41 year career he has worked for some of the region’s most recognized real estate firms including University Properties, Coldwell Banker, and Wright Runstad & Company.
Jim started his own company, The Norman Company in 1981. In its 17 years of existence it grew to include 85 employees focused on leasing, sales, property management and consulting on strategic real estate issues for some of the Pacific Northwest’s most prominent companies including Washington Mutual Bank, Boeing, US Bank, Regence Blue Shield and Premera Blue Cross. The Norman Company was acquired by Trammel Crow in 1998. Jim then started Sage Real Estate Strategies in 2000 to build upon the strategic work perfected at The Norman Company. Jim, David Ray and Gregor Miller formed MetPartners in 2003 to optimally align a client-centric focus with diverse skills and a singular high standard of integrity.
Jim’s reputation for integrity and his commitment to the highest professional standards have earned him the respect of his industry and community. Jim has been active in a number of organizations as the former Chair of the Pacific Northwest Diabetes Research Institute (PNDRI) and the Central Washington University Foundation. He has also been an active board member in the Hoh River Trust, the Nature Conservancy and the Downtown Seattle Association.
Jim is a graduate of Central Washington University with a degree in Economics. Jim’s passions outside of the office include fly fishing, bird hunting, golf and his three grandchildren.
